Microparticles can be deployed in various applications in a dispersed state, but they have a tendency to re-agglomerate due to interactions between the microparticles. Inorganic microparticles are hydrophilic, which allows them to interact strongly with the hydroxyl groups of water-soluble phenolic resins.
